The Trip

Join OG Lott for a golf weekend at Gold Canyon Golf Resort, beneath the Superstition Mountains. Play two full rounds on the resort’s championship courses, Sidewinder and Dinosaur Mountain, with Lott moving between groups and shooting content with guests on course. Three nights at the resort, with meals and a Saturday night out on the town.

Erick Lottary, aka OG Lott, didn’t pick up a golf club until his thirties, and he’s been bringing his own energy to the game ever since. Through RNG Golf Club, he’s built a community of golfers who play with the intention of having a good "honest" time. Now he’s inviting you to Gold Canyon, a course he’s returned to the past two years, for a weekend of golf, good food and even better company.

Its two championship courses, Dinosaur Mountain and Sidewinder, are the main draw: one known for dramatic elevation changes and abundant wildlife, the other for a desert routing through arroyos and washes. Rooms are casita style, each with a private patio and a sitting area, spread across 400 acres of desert. Between rounds there’s a pool with a large hot tub, a full-service spa and salon and two hiking trails on the property. Meals are at Kokopelli’s, in either the dining room or the more casual bar and grill, and The Ledge patio has fire pits and sunset views for a drink after golf.

Join OG Lott for your first round of the weekend. On the edge of the Sonoran Desert, Sidewinder at Gold Canyon Golf Resort plays through dry arroyos, native washes, and wide-open views of the Superstition Mountains. Saturday night heads to Downtown Gilbert’s Heritage District for dinner at Culinary Dropout, a buzzing gastropub inside The Yard with live music on Saturday nights and the game on the screens. Expect a laid-back crowd, cold beer and big shareable plates, including the house soft pretzels with provolone fondue. When dinner’s done, the rest of the Heritage District’s bars and patios are a short walk away.
